PassMonster: Automatic Update
PassMonster has a built-in Update feature. Usually, software updating process is left to the end user of the program. You
have to go to developer’s web site, find the program page and download the update if there is one.
Using PassMonster ‘Check for Updates’ feature (select Service->Check for Updates from the main menu to access the update
window) you can automate this process.
PassMonster will contact Kamatoz.Computing update service and check for new version letting you know if there is one and redirecting
you to update download page.
As PassMonster is a high level of security software suite it does not download the actual file or send any data from your system to
Kamatoz.Computing update service. Rather it would get information on updates from our server and let you choose whether you want
to download the new version.
Below is the outline of Update mechanism. We keep this information open so that you know why PassMonster gets data from Internet:
Step 1: PassMonster opens HTTP1.1 connection to Kamatoz.Com
Step 2: It gets version info file from the updates server
Step 3: It checks the current version precedence to version number received from server
Step 4: If there is an updated version the user is asked whether he wants to download the update
Step 5: PassMonster closes HTTP1.1 connection
Note: if you do not trust automatically updated software to be safe in use and do not want PassMonster to establish any connections with updates server on the Internet, do not use this feature.
PassMonster is distributed as try before you buy software suite. You can evaluate it before you decide to buy the full version for as long as you need to. Keep in mind that some features of the program are disabled in free trial version. Registering your version lets you get all the features of the program.
